Studio Tela is a dance studio management application used by registered Studio Tela students, parents/guardians, teachers, and administrators.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how users can contact us regarding their data.
1. Information We Collect
When you register or use the Studio Tela app, we may collect and store the following information:
– Full name
– Email address
– Phone number
– Date of birth
– Gender
– Branch, group, course, and dance-related registration information
– Parent or guardian phone number when applicable
– Profile photo, if uploaded by the user
– Payment-related records, such as payment status, payment amount, payment dates, and payment history
– Tournament, camp, class, private lesson, and attendance-related information
– Push notification tokens used to send app notifications
– Technical information required for authentication, account access, app security, and app functionality
We do not store full payment card numbers, CVV codes, or bank card credentials in the Studio Tela app. Online payments may be processed through an external payment provider.
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
– Create and manage user accounts
– Register users for dance classes, private lessons, camps, and tournaments
– Show schedules, lesson information, and event information
– Manage student, teacher, and administrator workflows
– Process and record membership or service payments
– Send important app notifications related to classes, payments, tournaments, camps, private lessons, approvals, cancellations, and studio updates
– Maintain app security, prevent unauthorized access, and support account management
– Provide support and communicate with users when necessary
3. Data Storage and Service Providers
Studio Tela uses third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate the app, including Firebase services for authentication, database, storage, cloud functions, and push notifications.
Payment processing may be handled by an external payment provider. Payment card data is processed by the payment provider and is not stored by Studio Tela.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell users’ personal information.
User information may be accessed only when necessary by authorized Studio Tela administrators, teachers, or service providers involved in operating the app.
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Studio Tela, or others.
5. Profile Photos and User Content
Users may upload a profile photo. Profile photos are used only inside the Studio Tela app for account identification and studio-related workflows.
Users are responsible for ensuring that any uploaded photo is appropriate and belongs to them or that they have permission to use it.
6. Notifications
The app may send push notifications related to account status, class schedules, payments, tournaments, camps, private lessons, approvals, cancellations, and other important studio updates.
Users can manage notification permissions through their device settings.
7. Children and Parents/Guardians
Studio Tela may be used by minors who are registered students of the studio. When a user is under 16, parent or guardian contact information may be required for registration and communication purposes.
8. Data Retention
We keep user information for as long as it is necessary to provide Studio Tela services, maintain payment and registration records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and support studio operations.
Some historical records, such as tournament history, payment history, or lesson history, may be retained for administrative and record-keeping purposes.
9. User Rights and Requests
Users may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, where applicable.
Some data may need to be retained if required for legal, accounting, administrative, security, or legitimate studio operation reasons.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
